Melissa Sue Anderson to star in 10.5 Apocalypse this Spring
Earlier this year, Prairie Fans reported that Melissa Sue Anderson will be having a role in NBC's 10.5 Apocalypse. We have learned that filming was delayed due to recent disasters in the United States. 10.5 Apocalypse is now in post production and is set to be release on NBC sometime in early spring 2006. Erin Cottrell (Caroline, 2005) is starring in "Love's Long Journey" as the role of "Missy LaHaye." Love's Long Journey is the third installment of the Gabriel Award-winning – and wildly popular -- “Love Comes Softly” series by Janette Oke. Michael Landon, Jr. produced the first two movies in this series. Love's Long Journey will air on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday December 3, 2005 at 8 PM, 9:45 PM, 11:45 PM central time. "Little House on the Parody" playing in New York City Fringe Festival
Two girls who grew up playing Little House as a childhood game together have written a parody (that is very true to the values of the Little House books and TV show) - one of them is playing Laura and the other is Nellie. It previously ran twice in Chicago and is going to be in New York for the New York Fringe festival. If you would like to attend see the times and dates below:

We are sad to report that Kevin Hagen passed away this weekend at the age of 77. Kevin passed away from esophageal cancer. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. Talk about Kevin on our forums at

Jennifer Landon on CBS's Soap Opera "As the World Turns"
Jennifer Landon, Michael Landon's youngest daughter can be seen regularly on CBS's Daytime soap opera "As the World Turns." Jennifer plays the role of Gwen Norbeck. Jennifer joined the cast in May 2005. Jennifer isn't a stranger to TV, she had guest appearances on Highway to Heaven, US and recently in the 2004 film LA, DJ. Jennifer currently lives in Manhattan and recently attended the Tisch School of Arts at New York University where she appeared in a production of Rhinoceros.

Melissa Sue Anderson to star in new miniseries!
Filming on "10.5: Apocalypse," the sequel to NBC's successful 2004 disaster miniseries, began last week in Montreal, with Kim Delaney, Beau Bridges and David Cubitt reprising their roles and the same behind-the-camera team in place as well. In addition to the three returning cast members, "10.5: Apocalypse" will also feature Melissa Sue Anderson ("Little House on the Prairie," "Earthquake in New York"), Frank Langella ("Unscripted," "Superman Returns"), Carlos Bernard ("24"), Carly Pope ("Popular"), Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon ("Eyes"), Dean Cain ("The Perfect Husband") and Barbara Eve Harris ("ER," "36 Hours to Die"). There's no official word on an airdate yet, but given the start date, "Apocalypse" could possibly be ready to go by November sweeps.

Homestead National Monument of America LHOTP Event!
Homestead National Monument of America is pleased to host seven cast members of the hit television show Little House on the Prairie. Cast members scheduled to appear include Karen Grassle (Caroline Ingalls), Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush (Carrie Ingalls), Dean Butler (Almanzo Wilder), Alison Arngrim (Nellie Olson), Charlotte Stewart (Miss Eva Beadles) and Matthew Laborteaux (Albert Ingalls). They will discuss what it was like to work on the set and include some of the skills and tasks necessary for them to perform to successfully portray a character within a homesteading setting. Visitors will be afforded the opportunity to ask questions of the actors as well....The cast members of Little House on the Prairie will be on stage at 2 p.m. each day, June 18-19.

Dean Butler Produces "Little House" DVD Bonus Material!
Dean Butler (Almanzo Wilder) went to De Smet, South Dakota on February 16, 2005 to produce bonus material that will be featured on the Season 8 and Season 9 Box Sets of Little House on the Prairie.

Dean, a now California based film maker was joined by Producer John Moraville and Writer Rick Okie. There attempts were to try and capture the actual hard life of the Winters in the area of the Ingalls Family final homesteading location. The weather was unusually mild, but they were able to gather a lot of historical information about Laura's Long Winter, that should be of a lot of interest to all Laura Ingalls Wilder fans. Another segment to be featured in the bonus material will be about Laura's Legacy that takes an historical look back at the Real Laura Ingalls Wilder and how her stories have impacted society.

Shannen Doherty let go from new fall series!
Shannen Doherty (Jenny Wilder), star of UPN's new comedy "Love, Inc.," will not be on the show when it premieres in the fall.

"Shannen is a terrific actress," a UPN spokeswoman said. "We simply decided to take the show in a different creative direction." Doherty's "Love, Inc." co-star, Holly Robinson Peete, will continue on the show.

"Love, Inc." was going to be Doherty's first series since the WB's "Charmed," which she left after three seasons.
