Globe Nominee - Actor Mitch Vogel Guests on Getting To Know You with
Susan McCray
Tuesday, Dec. 1st, Mitch Vogel guests on "Getting To Know You"
hosted by Susan McCray on KSAV.org. Mitch Vogel (NBC, Johnny
Johnson) will talk about his career - his film and television
co-stars including Lucille Ball, Henry Fonda, Michael Landon, Lorne
Greene, his great love for music, and his experience working on
Bonanza as well as other films and television shows including
episodes of “Little House on the Prairie.”
The breakthrough role for Mitch Vogel was The Reivers (1969), a
coming-of-age film co-starring Steve McQueen and Will Geer which was
adapted from a novel by William Faulkner. Mitch Vogel received a
1970 Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his
portrayal of Lucius McCaslin .His co-star Steve McQueen also
received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor.
Mitch was 14, when he was offered a continuing role on Bonanza as
Jamie Hunter Cartwright, a young orphan taken in by the Cartwrights
and eventually adopted as Ben Cartwright's fourth son. Altogether he
appeared on 39 episodes of Bonanza.

Alison Arngrim (NBC, Nellie) is in the process of writing a book
"Confessions of A Prairie Bitch." We just learned this evening that
Alison has completed the first draft of her book. Book is expected

Keystone Reunion set for September 4-5, 2009

Alison Arngrim ("Nellie Oleson"), Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush

Stan Ivar ("John Carter"), Charlotte Stewart ("Ms. Eva Beadle"),
Brenda & Wendi Turnbaugh ("Grace Ingalls") are set to
attend! There will be numerous events being held all weekend,
September 4-5, 2009 with cast members participating in autograph
signings and Question and Answer periods where you the fan can ask
your favorite cast member something you have always wanted to know

Laura Ingalls Wilder Coming to Oak Glen!
The Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home and Museum
in Mansfield, Missouri is generously sharing a special gift with the
Inland Empire. On May 30th and 31st, Rileys at Los Rios Rancho will
host the museum's traveling Laura Ingalls Wilder, Journey of a
Pioneer Family exhibit. Rarely seen outside of Missouri, the exhibit
contains photographs and information relating to Mrs. Wilder, her
famous “Little House” books and America’s westward expansion.
The exhibit will be open to the public 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Los
Rios Rancho packing shed. Admission and parking is free. Along with
the museum exhibit, there will be a pioneer wagon and schoolhouse
display, and special horse-drawn wagon rides. Children can try on
clothing of the "Little House" period and try their hands at butter
churning and other pioneer crafts and games.
The bakery, BBQ, picnic grounds and wildlands trails at Los Rios
Rancho will be open both days from 10a.m. - 5 p.m. The bakery will
be featuring cider floats and apple hand pies. For information, call
