The Fans Ask Kyle Chavarria

1. Alfred asks: I was just wondering if any producers, directors, actors or any other personnel will be associated with the new series, that also helped with the old Little House series?

Dear Alfred,
Yes, Mr. Ed Friendly was the Executive Producer on our production of Little House and he was the original producer on Little House. Mr. Friendly owns the rights to all the Little House Books. I had the privilege of having dinner with Mr. Friendly while we were in Calgary and he is just like a sweet grandfather with beautiful white hair. Mr. Hans Proppe was the awesome Producer who kept his cool the entire time and Mr. David Cunningham was the very laid back Director (He lives in Hawaii!). I couldn't have asked for better people to work with, they certainly made my job a lot easier!

2. Ginger asks: Have you ever been to any of the LIW home sites?

Hi Ginger!
Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to visit any of the actual Little house home sites yet but I know that we will be in my near future. I was born in the Prairie State though...Illinois!

3. Sarah asks: Have you read any of the Little House books? If so, Which book is your favorite?

Dear Sarah,
I've read all the Little House books over and over and my Mom still loves to read them to me before bed. My two favorites are Little House in the Big Woods and Little House on the Prairie. What's Yours?

4. Nikki asks: Will the new series be more accurate to the Laura Ingalls Wilder books than the last series?

Hey Nikki!
I'm glad that you asked about the accuracy of the books to the last series! That was what was so wonderful about making this series! This was so true to the books that you felt like you were right there and living the prairie life and experiencing how hard it really was. The Ingalls' were one tough family. Laura had a great sense of humor and a loving family that kept her strong through all her adventures, she certainly was one tough girl and I really admired her!

5. Shawn asks: What was filming the new Little House pilot like?

Dear Shawn,
I think if I were to be true to your question I'd need a whole page! Filming Little House was an experience I will never forget. I thank God all the time for giving me the opportunity to play such a well loved character. I really felt like Laura Ingalls and knowing what she went
through as she crossed all those states during the coldest months in a wagon! I loved being in another country with new and friendly people who made my job so much fun. I really miss everything about the making of Little House on the Prairie. I'm so excited for it to air and for all the fans to see and and fall in love all over again with such a wonderful story.

6. Tammy asks: I have not heard much about baby Carrie being in the new series. Is Carrie going to be in the pilot? Who is going to be playing her?

Dear Tammy,
Well actually, baby Carrie is not going to be in the new Little House on the Prairie, but if we make a series then she will be in it and all the other great characters.

7. Jane asks: Since filming the pilot, have you kept in touch with any of the cast?

Dear Jane,
Yes I have. The little girl who played Mary, was in town and so I asked her to a Dodger game. That was her first time to a Dodger game and we ate Dodger dogs, cotton candy, peanuts and saw the Dodgers beat the Braves 7-4! Great day!

8. Beverly asks: I can't wait for the new show! Do you know when it might air on ABC?

Dear Beverly,
The show was supposed to air this October but will now air in March, we'll keep you posted! All I know is that I wish it was airing tomorrow!

9. Jamie asks: Kyle, what do you like to watch on TV? Any favorite foods?

Hi Jamie!
I love to watch "I love Lucy", I can watch her all day! I have most of her DVD's. As far as current TV shows, I have little time since I take cello lessons, acting class and am starting soccer season this week! My Mom is pretty strict as far as the TV being on during the week. I do have a television in my room but I watch mostly DVD's when there's some down time. I do love to watch Little House on DVD too!  As far as my favorite food, that's easy, hotdogs! I like mustard, ketchup and relish on them! I also love, sushi, snow-cones and pepperoni pizza, oh yeah, cheerios and watermelon!

10. Missy asks: Who was your favorite person to work with while filming the new Little House on the Prairie?

Dear Missy,
Wow, that's a hard one since everyone was so nice and treated me like family but I really liked working with Sandy and Bridgette, they were the script supervisor and slate operator. They always made me laugh and I hope to see them again real soon.
