Kyle Richards was born on January 11, 1969 in Hollywood, California to Kenneth and Sharon Kathleen Richards. Richards has two siblings, Kathy and Kim who would also go onto act. Richards's first role was in the 1977 television movie entitled, "A Circle of Children". That same year, she did two films, "The Car" with James Brolin and "Eaten Alive" with Robert Englund of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" fame. She also managed to secure the role of "Alicia Sanderson Edwards" on the long running television series, "Little House on the Prairie" with Melissa Gilbert and Michael Landon. Richards would appear in nineteen episodes.


In 1978, Richards did the television movie, "The Million Dollar Dixie Deliverance" as well as the film that would become a cult classic, "Halloween" with Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis and was directed by John Carpenter. The next year, she appeared as "Laurie Jean" in the television movie, "Amateur Night at the Dixie Bar and Grill" which was directed by Joel Schumacher. Richards also guest starred on "Vega$" and "Fantasy Island". In 1980, Richards won the role of "Ellie Curtis" in the horror film "The Watcher in the Woods" with Bette Davis. That same year, she appeared in the mini series, "Beulah Land" with Lesley Ann Warren and Hope Lange. Next, Richards appeared in the television movie, "Hellinger's Law" with Telly Savalas. In 1981, Richards reprised her role as "Lindsey Wallace" in "Halloween II".


The following year, Richards starred in the television movie, "This Is Kate Bennett..." and made guest appearances on "CHiPs" and the short lived television show, "Down to Earth". Richards's next role wouldn't come until 1989 when she starred in the film, "Curfew". In 1990, Richards won the role of "Lydia" and appeared with her sister Kim, in the independent film, "Escape". The next years brought about roles in television such as "You're the One", "Nick Fresno: Licensed Teacher", "The Love Boat: The Next Wave", "Beverly Hills, 90210", "City Guys" and "7th Heaven". She also appeared in several episodes of the series, "ER".


Kyle Richards's most recent work to date is the 2006 comedy film "Pledge This!" which features her niece, Paris Hilton. Richards is currently married to Mauricio Umansky and has three daughters.
