| What was it like working with Patricia Neal? Were you aware that she was an Oscar winning actress? Is it true that filming of the episode "Remember Me" was delayed because Ms. Neal had some sort of conflict -- work related or health related?
Brian, thank you for taking time out to answer questions about Little House.
All the best,

| Dear Debby,
Yes, I was aware of Patricia Neal's condition and in fact she had a stroke and had to learn how to write and walk again. And yes, I knew she was an academy award winner. Patricia Neal is one of the finest and most talented and generous actresses I ever worked with and I enjoyed it thoroughly. About the delay to tell you the truth it sounds like a rumor to me because I don?t remember any of the shooting being interrupted, but rumors fly in the entertainment business.
Thank you very much for your question.
God bless you and don?t forget to call your radio station and request the parts!

| Hi Maggie,
I was five years old when I wanted to act, but my agent thought I was too young to start. So, I actually started when I was eleven and a half. I have no clue why I wanted to be an actor, but I am a very competitive person. I loved to compete in all sports and eventually found my true passion music and have been at it ever since, acting also is still something I would love to return to.
Thank you so very much for your question Maggie and the love and kindness I receive from you on the internet. Be safe and have a prosperous year and God bless you and your family and pray for our troops.
Love and Blessings,

| Hi my sweetie Marie,
Yes, I saw Michael and Victor on occasion after we were shooting. After I left the show I went back to the studio to visit and to read for the return of Carl, but I guess I was just a little too muscular since I was a professional athlete at the time. What confused me was Laura was married and Carl was still a kid and the script wouldn?t have worked with me because I probably would have beat up Victor because I was quite a little bit bigger, but oh well, I'm back to talk to you all now and thank you Marie for your special little notes to me and the wonderful comments you give to me. I enjoy them and they fill my heart with love.
Thanks again sweetie
May God bless you and your family.
Love and Blessings,
Brian Part
PS: Don?t forget to bug your radio stations to bring the parts to radio. Unfortunately in this day in age they want you to be a child so they can control you, sad thought. Thanks again, Brian.
PSS: Hey Marie, Lennon sent me a picture of you from a previous thread on here and I think you are a very beautiful woman and I think your husband should feel lucky to have you. A beautiful woman with a kind heart, Oh well, enough of my jibber jabber until we talk again. You?re Carl, Brian Part

| Thanks for responding to my earlier questions Brian. I hope you don\'t mind but I have some more...and I\'m sorry if any are repeat questions.
What was the audition process like for you? Did you have to read with any of the other actors who were going to play your siblings or parents on the show? Just curious about the last question because there seemed to a nice chemistry between members of the Edwards family and I was wondering if they do readings with some or all the actors who are going to be playing family members to check to see if they have good on-screen chemistry.
What is your favorite Carl episode? Favorite Carl scene?
How far in advance would the actors get a script before shooting a particular episode? How difficult was it for you to memorize your lines given the fact that you were so young? How much rehearsal time did the actors get for scenes?
As an actor, what do you find harder to do...laugh on cue or cry on cue? Do you prepare differently for those type of scenes?
What was it like to go to school on the set? Was it difficult to transition back into regular school afterward?
I have seen some funny outtakes from Little House on the TV tribute to Michael Landon and I was wondering if at the end of each season someone put together a blooper reel for the cast to enjoy at the wrap party (It is my understanding that shows do have wrap parties at the end of each season so I assume Little House did as well). If so, do you have a favorite Carl blooper you can tell us about.
Thanks again for taking time to respond to questions.
All my best,
Debby

I see that you are involved in music as well. My husband is a musician so I find that very interesting. He's played all kinds of music over the years and in all kinds of bands. He plays keyboards.
I am interested in knowing what kind of music you play, and do you play an instrument or sing?
Thanks for your time.

| Hello Brain
It's GREAT that you're here with the fans. Well, I have a question about the episode "The Runaway Caboose." A very cool episode indeed! How did they exactly film you and the kids on that caboose? Was someone really driving it or was it some camera trick? Your performance was great I got teary eyed towards the end when you and Mr.Edwards embrace each other.
Matthew Labyorteaux, you are my inspiration!

You or Meloday told us once that sometimes you and Melissa would jump on your horses between takes and would drive off. Did you learn how the ride a horse on the set (by who) or did you already know how to drive a horse before you came to the set? And was there a lot of free time between filming the scene's?
Thank you so much for taking the time to awnser all these questions

That episode was a very difficult one. Because they had to make the caboose able to be independently operated. Some of the shots were us and some of the longer shots they used stunt doubles. Thank you for your question.

| Hi Brian,
I don't know if you're able to anwser this question. Michael Landon directed many Little House episodes. What I wonder about is this, if he directed an episode, there were scene's were he had to act in himself as Charles. Who would take over the directing? Was there always a same person who took over the directing or were the various persons?
Daisy.

My apologies for the late response, but I have been in and out of the forum and sometimes miss things. I'm sorry.

As far as Dean goes, we think he stopped by a couple times in the fall of last year, but the person hasn't posted since October. We feel pretty confident it is him, but you know there is always that little hint of doubt.
If you at least know what Dean's up to lately, we would love to hear about it--as long as it wouldn't break a confidence.
Thanks for thinking of the Divas, Brian. Melody and you are wonderful people. May God bless you both.

| Speaking of Dean, I was just telling the Divas this week, the more interviews I see on the LHOP DVDs the more I like the guy. He sounds like such a down to earth, levelheaded person. In his interview with Patrick on the Season 7 DVDs he spoke of the responsibility he felt to act appropriately in real life because of the show he acted on. Not too many contemporary actors I can think of fit into that category.
BTW, how come you didn't have any interviews? I, for one, would have loved to hear you chat about your friendship with Melissa Gilbert, what it was like to work with Victor French, and get some behind the scenes scoops from you.

Hey there was a question asked in another thread and I posted a reply that someone should ask Brian this question and nobody has so I think I will take the bull by the horn and do so myself.
When indoor scenes were filmed on the LHOP set, were there actual buildings all set up with props for filming or are those indoor scenes filmed in a studio somewhere? For example was there an actual building with props for the Olesons Mercantile and the actors acted out their scenes within that building?
Thanks Brian, hugs to you and Melody..
