| A young boy--a relative of Nels Oleson--is sent by his rich father to Walnut Grove to learn the values he was taught as a boy on the farm. Between Harriet's pampering and Peter's bad attitude, Nels is at his wit's end. Charles offers to put Peter to work for him for a couple of weeks. It has a great impact on the boy and his father.

| I had to watch this episode on YouTube because I had forgotten all about it. In this episode, we get a glimpse into some of Nels's past. In addition, we watch while Charles works his magic with Peter. When the father returns to pick the boy up, Charles has a few choice words for him and things look like they will improve for Peter and his father.
I like this episode, but it gives the impression that change is very easy when it's not. Peter's father got so tied up with his work, pushed to it partially by his mother-in-law, and one quick visit to Walnut Grove changes him.
There are a couple of bloopers in this episode. The first is that Peter calls Nels and Harriet, Uncle and Aunt. Since the boy's father is Nels's cousin, the boy would also be his cousin, not his nephew.
At a little more than 35 minutes into the episode (the night before Peter's father comes to pick him up), Caroline and Charles are outside talking. He is going to miss Peter and he hopes the boy has a better life. Caroline tells him he did all he could and it would be out of his hands after tomorrow. He nods and says, "Let me buy you a cup of coffee." Then they walk into the house. It doesn't sound like let's get a cup of coffee, but I guess it might be. Let me know what you think.

| A member on another LHOP board told me "Let me buy you a cup of coffee," is just like saying, "Let me get you a cup of coffee." Who knew?
