Continuity Issue In Season 2? Early sighting of Blind School?10-03-2005 6:26:44 am
I just realized - in the episode "For My Lady", isn't that the house that was occupied by that man (can't remember his name)in "Haunted House?" And if so how could the Widow Thurman be living there as if she's always been there. She comments to Charles that Arthur built her an ice house; so it's obvious she's been there for years. So, that can't be true if someone else was living there a few episodes prior. Did anyone else notice that??

Also, aren't those houses the same house as what would become the blind school in later episodes??

The house they used for the blind school was the same house, if I am correct, where Albert&James find shelter from the rain after they run away from home (episode: Growing Pains). Then there was a man in the house who was named Mr. Timms, I believe.

Ok, thanks Daisy, I was pretty sure the Timms/Widow Thurman's house was the house that would become the blind school.

Isn't it ironic that Mary (who was in Thurman's house to fit a dress for her) would be teaching blind children and would later lose her son in that same building?

This house was used over and over and we aren't supposed to know that it is the same house. We are to assume that it is a different house each time and that the original owner is the one who lives there. They also used the cabin we see Mr. Edwards in over and over. As far as comparing Mary in the Widow Thurman's house to her baby in the fire with the same house, this we aren't supposed to be doing. They only had so many houses and buildings to use and they recycled them quite frequently. LHOTP had no idea that the show was going to be such a big hit and be in sidication all over the TV and fans would be recognizing the buildings and houses....I have been reading on a wonderful site about the episodes and the trivia that goes along with it and how one of the main streets we see when Pa is out of town, is actually the street that was used in the Ponderosa and other westerns..... Here is the site: http://littlehouse.sphosting.com/episodes.html
