Merry Christmas...pass the kleenex!12-18-2005 2:15:45 am
I don't know about all of you but I can't watch the LH Christmas episodes without having tears run down my face. Tonight I decided to watch The Christmas They never Forgot and wept through every story, especially Caroline's and Almanzo's. I just loved it.
Then I watched Christmas on Plum Creek and cried all the way through that. I loved how each family member found out who wanted what and found a way to get that special something. I couln't have given my horse to my worst enemy.
And dear little Carrie learned the true meaning of Christmas and gave a gift to baby Jesus. Where are those kleenex?
Just think, next year we will have another episode to cry over, Bless All The Dear Children. Oh boy! I will need a bigger box, that episode is 2 hrs.
Enjoy everyone and Merry Christmas!
Marilyn

Those were some good ones. I've seen "Bless the Dear Children" on Hallmark, and it's pretty good, although not as good as the first ones.
My favorite would be the pilot (at least, I think it's the pilot), where Mr. Edwards tramps through the snow, and brings Christmas presents, soaking wet, freezing, and in his long johns!
I especially love when he tells the girls he met Santa with his pack mules after coming out of the saloon, er, hotel! But that's when Ma begins to like him.

I love the Christmas episodes. I am such a waterfall . I liked them all. I loved the Pilot when Mr. Edwards brings the girls gifts from Independence. Love the look on Ma's face when he pulled out the sweet potatoes (?).

That was a great moment! I just love how Christmas was so simple back then.

I would have to go with The Christmas They Never Forgot because I like to see the past lives of the characters. And of course, Almanzo is in it so that makes it great for me.

Yea, all of them were good but I like A Christmas they Never forgot, too, the best because you get to see everyone from the 1st season then the 8th!

1st Season Nellie: hmmm Country Girls! 4th season Nellie: You know it's not easy being the richest girl in town. 6th season Nellie: I hate cooking, I hate this restaurant and I hate short people! 9th season Nellie: I wasn't that bad, was I?
