| Has anyone noticed that in Nbc's LHOTP Caroline has blonde hair, but in The Caroline Years her nickname is Little Brown Braid?Why the inconsistency?

| In the Pilot Caroline's hair was more brown than blonde. She seemed to get blonder as the show went on!

| In real life, Caroline had really dark brown hair, hence the nickname, and I guess it darkened to be the color of her mother's, but I was actually just talking about that fact with my mom because we just finished watching I Remember, I Remember. I was also disappointed that they left out so many siblings in that episode, even though I understand they could not cast that many people, haha. They also just had the ones that married each other, lol.

| Isn't it kind of funny while Caroline's hair got lighter and lighter, Mary's hair got darker and darker! 
I love LH series, but I always wished that it would be more closer and truer to the book series.

| I don't think so either. I just remember her referring to her sisters' hair as being blonde.

| It's in one of the first books. Laura and Mary are fighting about what is prettier - blonde hair or dark hair. Laura asks Pa, and he says he likes blonde hair better, since that's the colour of Ma's hair (while his own is dark).

| Oh, I didn't remember reading that in Little House on the Prairie, but I suppose it is there. I only remembered it being in the new mini-series. What I do remember from Little House in the Big Woods is Laura and her cousin Laura arguing about which baby was prettier and then, which of their hair was prettier... Laura's brown or the other Laura's blonde.
