| my favorite would be 'little girl lost' because of karen grassle's outstanding performance as a mother. least favorite would be 'bless all the dear children' because the ending was lame; the only star that ever appeared to lead mankind to a child was the one God set in the skies to lead people to the Christ Child, and no one else.

| I loved the Christmas episodes (although it bothered me "Ma" never seemed to get anything.) :)
I loved any of the earlier ones when they were full of great guest stars and actors, Ernest Borgnine, Gil Gerard, etc.
When Mary went blind was excellent and when Doc Baker met his seemingly only girlfriend. Both were great in that and I wish certain costars had more time on shows.

| My favorite episode was when Laura tried to be a grown women and take her graduating test. She was fooled by Nellie and failed. Almonzo had to split up the fight that occured because of this.

| I have watched all the shows probably five (5) times in the last three years or so and even started rating each and every one of them with a star system--5 stars being the best and one star the least favorite. I will comment another time about the extensive number of shows that I gave 5 stars but it forced me to go back and go to a 6th star to create a distinct, special rating. The longer I watch, the more I find myself liking episodes in the first 5 years more than the last five.
As a result, I still like the Pilot, Harvest of friends,Lord is My Shephard, Christmas at Plum Creek and Richest Man in WG in year one.
Weaker ones to me were, the Older Brothers, For the Love of Blanche, for example.
I wish there were more questions like this and rather than looking for one favorite out of 206, how about choosing some favorites each year and some not so popular. It would be fun if at least a 20 or so would do it. I will bet we could come up with a consensus top three if each one of us took each year and rated all the episodes and listed our top five favorites in order and say our bottom three. Go one year at a time?

| This is hard, my favorite 3 if I can expand is the Pilot movie, Christmas at Plum Creek and I'll be Waving as you Drive Away.
Least: The end, The Last Farewell, because of the destroying of the town and anything around the "new Nellie", Nancy.

Not sure if you saw this in the other section. We used to play a game at another forum where we would vote off our least favorite episode from a season. I don't remember all the rules, so I would have to look them up, but I think how it went is each episode from a season would start off with 10 points. The next person in line would subtract a point from the episode they liked least, and then repost the list again. At some point, some episodes would no longer have points, and therefore be eliminated from the list. When you get to the top 3 episodes, I think the point level increased to minus 2 or 3 points each. The last remaining episode was considered the all-time favorite for that season.
Here's an example from Season 1:

Mr. Edwards' Homecoming 10
The Love of Johnny Johnston 10

Just another thought-
If you know of a small group of people -regulars, if you wil,l that you are sure would play, we could set some time lines to respond. I would absolutely love to see what the top episodes for each year would be. Some are obvious in some years.
Anyway, nice chatting about it all anyway.
Would love to meet with another diehard fan. Where in Ma do you live? I am in the Medway area and frequently visit in The Mansfield, Easton area too. Or we could just phone chat. I am retired and living in Az, except in the summer when I come "home" to visit friends, sing and play golf. Is hubby a fan too?

We could start the same game here, beginning with Season 1.
I'm in Western MA. With the girls around, I don't have much time to chat. I'm also looking for a job right now. No, the hubby isn't a fan, but we like other shows we watch together: 24, Magnum P.I. and Emergency.

| My favorite episode has to be Grownin' Pains, and my non-favorite episode has to be either The Last farewell or any of the episodes in the Little House:New Beginnings episodes. There was probably only 3 episodes that were really good in that series!!!!

| My favourite episodes, the ones in with Charles ingalls in, or Harriet. So probably The Reincarnation of Nellie (Part 1 & 2), no beast so fierce. Days of sunshine,days of shadow. Gambini the great.
Least favourite one is mr Edwards returns.
I know a episode I was totally obsessed with when I was a teen and that was 'he was only twelve'
