| “THE SPRING DANCE”
Laura and Grace Snider are both in low spirits when they are left with no dates for the spring dance. Feeling that Grace is underappreciated by Isaiah Edwards, Caroline uses memories of her courtship with Charles to provide her friend with strategies to make Isaiah jealous. Laura overhears their conversation and applies it to her own experiences--so while Grace devotes her time to "wooing" Doc Baker, Laura poses as Willie Oleson's girlfriend to earn the attention of a boy at school. When their ruthless attempts backfire and the dance draws nearer, Caroline recognizes the foolishness of her advice and encourages the girls to make the move themselves.
(Will give my review later)

| This was such a cute episode. I love how Laura uses Willie to make the other boy jealous. Willie is such a cutie in this episode. I really loved the courtship of Mr. Edwards and Grace so this episode was a great one for me.

| Thanks for posting this episode review with the pictures Carol. I saw this one on TV recently and I cracked up through most of it. Grace using poor Doc Baker to make Isaiah jealous and Laura using Willie to make Jimmy jealous--too funny.
I wonder who was more creeped out by the kiss--Jonathan or Melissa. Willie was his normal annoying self and I was so happy when Laura pushed him over. It is strange to see Isaiah being jealous of Doc Baker--or anyone else--over a woman. It proves how much he loved Grace, which makes it even sadder that they separated in the future.
And Caroline, along with Grace and Laura learned an important lesson here, as Charles reminded Caroline that he got very mad about her trying to con him into taking her to the dance.
A great episode with lots of funny moments and a valuable lesson too.

| I just got done seeing this episode again the other night, so it is fresh in my memory!
Laura was so cute in this episode...I love it when she says that you can never know how "tragickal" (love that!) things are until you feel them yourself...of course, talking about not getting asked to the spring dance, and being the only wallflower except for Nellie.
Even though Willie was his usual annoying self in this episode, I did feel kinda sorry for him...getting pushed down for kissing Laura even though she asked him to, and getting pushed in the creek near the end...he seemed to me to be like a little lost puppy that was getting scolded for doing what he was told to do. He did kinda deserve it though!
And, Grace was great...the way she planned to make Edwards jealous by flirting with Doc Baker was so funny. I was glad to see that, in spite of all the problems, it worked out in the end...

| This was a cute episode. I enjoyed Grace trying to make Isaiah jealous. It reminded me of when Isaiah mailed the letter, smelling of lemon perfume, to himself trying to make Grace jealous. I'm glad that in the end both Grace and Laura learned a valuable lesson. This was a great story.
Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. They are wonderful!
