Alison and Melissa Gilbert both wore braces during the filming of LHOTP. MG's were supposedly put on the back of the teeth so they wouldn't show during filming. AA must have had regular ones, because I recall seeing her talk different as if to cover them up, or as you stated, we got a glimpse of them in some of the episodes. This was more obvious in some episodes than others, Example: In the earlier episodes when Nellie was being mean to Laura or whoever else, she would smile realy big and you would see all her teeth. When she got the braces, you would see her smile while trying to keep her top lip over her teeth. this gave her a strange look on her face, but when you realize that she is trying to cover up her braces, it all makes sense.....Good catch on that one by the way..........
