| Happy 4th of July!! Hope everyone has fun!
I have a funny 4th of July story....
My parents and I watched the small fireworks display our city puts on every year from our backyard tonight. The display started late b/c of the rain today (we needed it though!) so we were eating watermelon inside while we were waiting for it to start. When it did start, my dad was half-way through his watermelon. While we were outside, I peeked through the window to check on the cats and my mom's cat, Gracie (1 year old) decided since my dad hadn't finished his watermelon, she wasn't going to let it go to waste! Gracie's hind legs were leaning on his recliner and her front paws were on the tray table.....and her whole face was buried in that huge slice of watermelon! It was priceless! Oh, then she looked up and saw me watching her and she looked like a deer in the headlights! Then she jumped down and ran faster than lightning back to the window. I guess she thought if she was quick enough, I wouldn't see her. LOL!! It was SOOOOOOOO cute!!
