| Did everyone have a hot weekend? Here in Minnesota the weather was in the high 90's all weekend. Yuck. Yesterday I had a brilliant idea to go get some exercise by walking around a lake. It was a 4 mile walk. It was great until I got about 2 miles into it. I was thinking that it would be cooler to wear sandals. BIG Mistake!!! So neadless to say I now have 4 huge blisters on my poor feet. I did make the walk though. I was dripping and very thirsty at the end but I did make it.
I hope we are in for some cooler weather soon. Today the high is in the low 90's. But then again I guess in a few months I will be complaining about the cold. lol! I am just never happy am I?
I hope everyone had a good weekend and that this week will be a good one!

| Here this weekend it was up to 120 and at night there would be a breeze and rain clouds but to rain. I had to take care of my horses, they where sweaty all over and i would have to spend most of my day spraying them down with water.

That's so funny and I totally understand! I'm right next door to ya - in Wisconsin! I enjoy the heat because sometimes it's such relentless cold for soooooo long. So, I like it hot and sunny for as long as possible. But I don't like it when it's so hot ya can't move. Okay...now I'm complaining.

| Here in Arkansas, our heatwave finally broke. We went over a week with temps in the 100º and the heat index from the humidity even higher than that. I think the highest the heat index got that I know of was 116º!!! Way to hot for me!!!

| Isn't it kind of scarey how long this heat wave is lasting? We are going to be in the low to mid 90's here all weekend again. Its scarey that over in Europe its the same way. It seems the north half of the world is getting so many warm temps for this time of the year. That global warming is something to really think about. The only thing to be thankful that I can think of is the warm temps seem to have detered any hurricane or tropical storm activity in the gulf of Mexico. So at least our neighbors to the south are getting a break from that during this hurricane season.

| It is pretty scary, what's even more scary is the weird storms, thunderstorms with hail, tornadoes (and NY doesn't get tornadoes often and we've already had 3 in a month) This Saturday, it's going to be 91 degrees in the country and 100 degrees in NYC! I hope this isn't a sign that we're going to have a bad winter!!

| I agree Christina it is a strange weather pattern indeed. We have been getting storms with hail here in Wisconsin too. Fourth of July weekend my little town got hit with one such storm. My car has small divits on the hood and roof, but unnoticable unless you are told. I was fortunate, around our area there was a Million Dollars of hail damage, lots of broken windshields, windows and damaged siding on homes. I even heard some stories of crop damage, one farmer lost his whole corn field. Our vehicles are fixable, crops can't be retrieved. I feel for the farmers the most...

| Good news for us in Minnesota. Next week temps are supposed to drop to 78. Should be a relief after 100 degree weather again this weekend.

| Today we got 2 inches of rain. Yesterday we got 4 1/2 inches. A town about 10 miles from me got 7 inches of rain. The temps have been in the high 80's. It's a welcome I tell ya.
