DOGS JACK & BANDIT

OK, I know Jack was a sheep dog in the show LH & a bull dog in the books. But what was Jack really? What breed? & Did he really die in real life or just on the show?

Bandit they say was a Border Collie Mix but what breed was he really? An Aussie mix? Did Bandit really die in real life? Is that why they stopped showing him throughout the rest of the series? Why did they stop showing him through the tv series?

I tried looking up animal talent for LHOP, and came up with several agencies that provided different services to the set. I didn't find what you were looking for though.

The only info. I found was that Bandit (who might have had the real name Jeffery (not sure)) was a scottish border collie.

Jack (I think real name was barney, but not sure) was listed as a collie mix, but he looked like a sheep dog to me. good question! I'll keep looking for more info.
