| When a tornado ruins his crop, Charles decides to sell the farm and return to the Big Woods without discussing it with his family. Mary and John Jr. share their first kiss when they realize she'll be leaving town. An older couple comes to buy the farm and over time as the Ingalls family begins thinking about all the good times they've shared in Walnut Grove, they decide to stay and give things another try.

| This is a great episode, where Charles feels he can't keep picking up the pieces again and he does something so out of character by making a huge decision without discussing it with anyone. Laura can't imagine why Pa has suddenly given up. The old couple seem to hoodwink him into rebuilding all the things Charles insists he can't bear to do again. A great way to end Season 2!

| It was out of character for Charles to give up and announced he was moving the family back to Wisconsin.I'm glad he came to his senses and decided to stay.

| I agree, it was totally out of character, but I like those moments when people are pushed to the edge to see what they will do. Luckily, he came around in the end.
