| I'm so excited guys...... This morning I tried on a pair of my size 16's... and they fit really good. I have been watching my weight since mid March. I watch what I eat, exercise and walk everyday. My weight has been a battle for me, after having my boys. It's so much easier putting it on, than it is taking it off . I really feel in control in that department of my life .I feel great!

| Congratulations Susie,
I play that weight game too often myself. Unfortunately I am on the opposite side you are, and need to start doing something about it. Maybe you will be my inspiration this time... Great job, keep up the effort.

| Thank you Christina,Laura,Lorrie.
I know what you are saying Lorrie. Last year I lost around 70 pounds. Right after Thanksgiving it all went down hill again and I gained it back. I'm hoping this time around I will be a good girl and stay on track. Good luck to you!

| I wanted to share some progress photos with you guys. The 1st pic was taken in March ,06, the second one in the photo was taken last month. With the holidays among us, I have gained back a few pounds. I'm back on track again. By summer, I would like to have lost 75 more pounds. I have some work ahead of me.

| Awesome job Susie, you look great. Good luck with that remaining 75 pounds by summer *LOL* Baby steps buddy...baby steps.
I started my South Beach diet 10 days ago and am seeing results already. I just got to get through the holidays and the rest should be smooth sailing. I have given up carbs, sugar and fat for the past 10 days. The first two weeks are detox and the most strict. I thought for sure I would miss my coke.. but I feel great!!
Keep pushin buddy.. and I will follow behind you.

| Thats awesome Lorrie. I've thought about doing the South Beach diet a few times. How does it work? Best of luck to you.
I'm really weak this time of year. It seems I have no will power. Since Thankgiving, I've been off and on my diet. I have gained some weight back.

Then Christmas is just around the corner. I don't go walking much, since the cold weather is here. Any suggestions of keeping my will power up?
I know that, I can drop the 75 pounds by summer. I do agree with the small goals.

| The best approach to South Beach is to buy the book. Its similiar to Atkins but not as strict on carbs. The first 14 days is called phase one- minimal fats, sugar and carbs. After the first two weeks the bad habits should be gone and you can incorporate good carbs and some fats.. this is phase two. You stay on phase two until you reach your goal weight then you go on phase three which is more liberal.
I'm never hungry because I have two eggs scrambled for breakfast and string cheese for a snack at 10 am. Maybe a small chicken breast and broccoli for lunch, another string cheese snack for the afternoon and then usually a salad for supper.
It seems your eating all the time. Its suppose to boost the matabolism and keep it running high. You would need the book to find out what foods you can eat and what you need to avoid during each phase of the diet.
Keep up the good work Susie..your doing great.

| Wow Susie you look great Keep up the good work. If it's too cold to go out and walk you could always do a work out video. They even have walking videos

| Since I have gained 15 lbs since I have been married I am now official on a diet. I have been using the rules of the 3 hour diet. I don't know if anyone has heard of it but it is basically what Lorrie was talking about. Its so easy for me because I have really good self control unless I get too hungry. When I eat every 3 hours I still get hungry but not that eat anything (and everything) I see hungry. I have only been on it for a week so I am pretty new at it. I havent done any exercising besides going on walks on the weekend. I love to walk outside but I dont get home till after dark and am not a big fan of walking after the sun goes down. My main goal is to get back into all the jeans I wore before I got married. Hopefully I can keep this healthy eating up.
